New Delhi, January 8, 2026: The New Delhi World Book Fair 2026, one of the largest and most prestigious book fairs in the world, is set to begin on January 10 and will continue till January 18, 2026, at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
Organised by the National Book Trust (NBT), India, under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, in association with the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), the nine-day literary extravaganza will bring together publishers, authors, scholars, students and book lovers from across India and around the globe.
The fair will host thousands of publishers and exhibitors, showcasing books in multiple languages, covering literature, education, academics, children’s books, fiction, non-fiction, and digital publishing. International participation from several countries will further strengthen the fair’s status as a global platform for cultural and literary exchange.
One of the key attractions of the fair will be the Children’s Pavilion, featuring storytelling sessions, workshops, creative activities and interactions aimed at nurturing young readers. The event will also include author interactions, book launches, panel discussions, seminars and cultural programmes, making it a vibrant hub for literary dialogue.
Open daily from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm, the New Delhi World Book Fair 2026 offers free entry to visitors. With its rich blend of knowledge, culture and creativity, the fair promises an enriching experience for readers of all ages.
