New Delhi, West Delhi Lions clinched the Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2025 title with a six-wicket victory over Central Delhi Kings in a thrilling final at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday. Captain Nitish Rana stole the show with an unbeaten 79 and a tight bowling spell to guide his team to glory.

Chasing 174, the Lions were in early trouble at 48/3, but Rana’s composure turned the tide. After a brief partnership with Mayank Gusain, he joined forces with Hrithik Shokeen (42 off 27)\to take the game away from the Kings. Their unbroken stand sealed the win in emphatic fashion.
Earlier, the Kings recovered from 78/6 to post 173/7, thanks to a brilliant 65 from Yugal Saini and a blistering 50 off 24 balls from Pranshu Vijayran\.
For the Lions, Manan Bhardwaj (2/11) and Shivank Vashisht (2/12)shone with the ball, while Rana contributed with 1/16 in four overs.
The final, however, will be remembered for Rana’s captain’s knock, which not only anchored the chase but also secured West Delhi Lions their DPL 2025 championship.
