Maharashtra: Ajit Pawar, Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister and senior NCP leader, died on Wednesday after the aircraft he was travelling in crashed while attempting to land in Baramati, according to information cited by sources and aviation officials.
Initial details indicate that all five people on board the flight were killed in the accident, with an official announcement awaited.
Visuals from the crash site showed smoke rising from the wreckage as ambulances rushed to the site and rescue teams began operations.
