Taiwan Expo 2025 in India: Driving Growth Through Taiwan–India Collaborations

New Delhi– Bilateral trade between India and Taiwan has witnessed remarkable growth in recent years, with expansions into electronics, EVs, renewable energy, semiconductors, and healthcare. Taiwan’s strengths in advanced manufacturing, ICT, and green innovation align closely with India’s flagship initiatives—Digital India, Make in India, and the IndiaAI Mission—laying the foundation for deeper cooperation.

The flagship platform for Taiwan–India business and trade ties, Taiwan Expo 2025 in India, will be held from September 25–27 at Bharat Mandapam (Pragati Maidan), Hall 1, New Delhi. The exhibition will focus on four key themes—Smart Manufacturing, Smart Technology, Green Innovation, and Wellness Fiesta—with 107 Taiwanese companies showcasing cutting-edge products and solutions.

A pre-expo press conference held today was attended by representatives from the Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in India, India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), as well as major industry bodies such as *FICCI, EEPC, TPCI, and ELCINA.

Highlighting Taiwan’s growing role in India’s industrial ecosystem, Mr. Keven Cheng, Deputy Director of TAITRA, said India’s vast market, talent pool, and strategic location have made it an indispensable hub for Taiwanese enterprises. Since its debut in 2018, the Taiwan Expo has grown into a vital platform for market diversification and industrial collaboration.

Ms. Yu-Chi Chen, Executive Director of the Economic Division, Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in India, noted that bilateral trade touched a record USD 10.6 billion in 2024, while Taiwanese enterprises investing in India have surged over threefold since 2017, now exceeding 250 companies.

In addition, a Taiwan Select Food Pavilion will run alongside World Food India 2025, showcasing Taiwan’s diverse food offerings. Highlights include A-Sha Foods’ premium air-dried noodles, HOYA Next Meats’ plant-based jerky and meal kits, and DR. Diary Co.’s instant boba milk tea kits.

Notably, global manufacturing giant Hon Hai Technology Group (Foxconn) will also participate in the Expo, reinforcing Taiwan’s strong commitment to the Indian market.

Against the backdrop of shifting geopolitics and realigned global supply chains, Taiwan and India are deepening cooperation in technology and electronics manufacturing. This year’s Expo will bring together first-time entrants to India as well as long-established players, opening new opportunities for innovation, investment, and sustainable growth.
