Uttar Pradesh Sub-Junior Kho Kho Teams Selected for 35th National Championship

Ghaziabad (Shyam Sunder): The Uttar Pradesh Sub-Junior Boys and Girls Kho Kho teams have been officially selected for the 35th National Sub-Junior Kho Kho Championship, with a kit distribution ceremony held today at St. Mary’s Convent School, Mariam Nagar, Nandgram, Ghaziabad.

Around 375 young players from across Uttar Pradesh participated in the state selection trials. The final teams were selected under the supervision of officials deputed by the Kho Kho Federation of India, including Radheshyam Yadav, Pramod Kumar (Chief Coach, Kho Kho Uttar Pradesh Police), and Vinay Jaiswal.

During the ceremony, selected players were presented with tracksuits and sports kits and were given best wishes for the national championship. The kits were distributed by distinguished guests including Dr. Krishanjit Singh Nagar, Prem Singh, Rinku Kumar, Himanshu Tyagi, Nishant Sharma, and Amit Chauhan.

The girls’ and boys’ teams, comprising 15 players each from various districts of Uttar Pradesh, will represent the state at the national championship to be held from January 31 to February 4, 2026, in Kurukshetra, Haryana.

The trials were conducted by the District Kho Kho Association, Ghaziabad, as authorized by the Kho Kho Federation of India. The event was coordinated by Dr. Praveen Kumar and Bhupendra Singh.

Ms. Lina Kaithrath, Principal of St. Mary’s Convent School, extended full support for the आयोजन, while Kapil Sharma, Physical Education Teacher, played an important role in managing the arrangements.

The Uttar Pradesh teams departed for Kurukshetra on January 30, 2026, with high hopes of bringing laurels to the state.
