Peace, spirituality and humanitarian values were celebrated on an international stage as Syed Ali Dujana Gurdezi received the prestigious “Global Icon in Spiritual Leadership & Humanitarian Excellence – India” award at the Global Icon Awards ceremony held in Sri Lanka.
The award was presented by Maithripala Sirisena during a grand ceremony attended by distinguished personalities from various sectors.

During his visit to Sri Lanka, Syed Ali Dujana Gurdezi also met former President Maithripala Sirisena at his residence. On the occasion, he presented a sacred Dastar and Tabarruk from Ajmer Sharif Dargah as a symbol of spiritual respect and cultural harmony. The former president warmly accepted the offerings and appreciated the universal message of peace, love and unity associated with Khwaja Garib Nawaz and Ajmer Sharif.
The interaction highlighted the growing importance of spiritual diplomacy, humanitarian cooperation and cultural understanding between nations. Syed Ali Dujana Gurdezi also extended an invitation to the former Sri Lankan president to visit Ajmer Sharif, emphasizing the shrine’s spiritual and historical significance.

Expressing gratitude after receiving the honor, Gurdezi said the recognition was not just a personal achievement but also a responsibility to continue humanitarian work, promote interfaith harmony and spread the message of peace and humanity across communities.
The recognition at the Global Icon Awards further strengthens international appreciation for initiatives focused on spirituality, cultural unity and humanitarian service.
