Sandip Patel Promotes Cross-Cultural Cinema at Cannes Through SRHP Films

Filmmaker Sandip Patel of Indian origin is becoming more and more successful in their pursuit of bringing global cinema, as they expand the number of international productions produced and build partnerships through their ownership of SRHP Films. Based out of Augusta, Patel showcased the growing reach of his production company at the Cannes Film Festival this spring. At Cannes, Patel represented SRHP Films to foster new Hollywood partnerships and promote films in the Hollywood genre for future releases.

Another highlight of SRHP Films’ presence at Cannes was the word-of-mouth anticipation surrounding the upcoming Shravan Tiwari-directed feature Holy Father. The film features Eric Roberts and Mary Lyrette, two highly sought after actors. The film’s previous buzz created sufficient interest among attendees at the film festival, prompting many Hollywood producers and international buyers to consider the film as an opportunity for distribution. The film has been positioned as a cross-section of cultures, allowing Patel to reach target markets all over the globe.

As a continuation of that momentum, the next phase of the SRHP Films worldwide expansion was to hold the gala launch event for another Hollywood production — Sundown Town — which was officially launched in the USA on May 23, 2026. Sundown Town will be released in 2027 and was co-directed by Shravan Tiwari, produced by Rita Patel and Sandip Patel, and will be targeted at the international marketplace. According to industry experts, the film will further establish SRHP Films’ presence in international cinema by developing and producing large scaled films with universal market appeal.

In addition to his participation in the Cannes Film Festival, Sandip Patel participated in a number of networking events and market discussions directed toward developing international distribution opportunities and creating collaborative filmmaking with those who have similar interests. As a member of IMPPA, Sandip received support and advice from IMPPA Vice President Atul Patel regarding how to expand his business internationally. Sandip was also very fortunate to have had the advantage of an award winning digital marketing executive and photographer, Ashvin Borad, in his corner as he developed his business for the international film business in addition to being an influential member of the board of directors who was recognized at Filmfare India International Film Festival. With multiple projects in the works, SRHP Films has positioned itself as a collaborative production company fusing the best attributes of Hollywood filmmaking with the Indian creative sensibilities for an evolving global entertainment environment.
