According to the CAQM order, the AQI in Delhi has been improving owing to favourable meteorological conditions, leading to the revocation of GRAP-3 curbs.
The Commission for Air Quality Improvement (CAQM) on Thursday said it was revoking the stage 3 pollution curbs implemented under the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) in Delhi-NCR, as air quality has improved.
“The Sub-Committee, accordingly, decides to revoke its orders dated 16.01.2026, for invoking actions under Stage-III (‘Severe’ Air Quality) of Schedule of GRAP (modified on 21.11.2025), with immediate effect,” the order stated.
The air quality in Delhi was in the ‘very poor’ category on Thursday morning, with an AQI of 313, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data.
According to the CPCB, an AQI between zero and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 to 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 to 200 ‘moderate’, 201 to 300 ‘poor’, 301 to 400 ‘very poor’ and 401 to 500 ‘severe’.
