Delegation of Chishtiya Committee Meets Iranian Ambassador, Condoles Demise of Supreme Leader

New Delhi: A delegation of the Chishtiya Committee Niyazi Welfare Society, led by Chairman Peer Barkat Miyan, paid a courtesy visit to the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to India, Dr. Mohammad Fathali, at the Iranian Embassy in New Delhi. Journalist Shahzad Ahmed was also part of the delegation.

The primary purpose of the meeting was to express deep condolences on the reported shahadat (demise) of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and to stand in solidarity with the people of Iran during this time of grief.

The delegation conveyed that the loss of Ayatollah Khamenei is not only significant for Iran but for the global community at large. They remembered his leadership, courage, and commitment to justice, stating that his life and legacy would continue to inspire future generations.

Speaking on the occasion, Peer Barkat Miyan said that the Chishtiya Committee Niyazi Welfare Society stands firmly with the people of Iran in this difficult time. He emphasized that the values of humanity, peace, and brotherhood promoted by Ayatollah Khamenei will always be remembered.

Journalist Shahzad Ahmed also expressed his sentiments, calling the loss deeply painful for the entire Ummah. He noted that the passing of such a prominent leader leaves a void that is difficult to fill.

Ambassador Dr. Mohammad Fathali thanked the delegation for their condolences and said that the support and sympathy expressed by people and organizations in India are a source of strength for Iran. He highlighted the deep-rooted historical and cultural ties between India and Iran, adding that such gestures of solidarity are especially meaningful in challenging times.

During the meeting, both sides also discussed the importance of promoting peace, unity, brotherhood, and justice at a global level. The delegation offered prayers for strength and patience for the people of Iran and expressed hope for peace and stability in the world.

The meeting not only served as an expression of grief but also symbolized the enduring spirit of mutual respect, compassion, and cooperation between India and Iran.
