Mumbai: Bollywood stars Madhuri Dixit and Amitabh Bachchan are all set to share the screen once again as Madhuri returns to the Kaun Banega Crorepati hotseat during the show’s special birthday celebrations week.
Madhuri Dixit will appear alongside Amitabh Bachchan on Kaun Banega Crorepati 18 to promote the upcoming Marathi edition of the popular quiz show, Kon Honar Crorepati. The Marathi version is scheduled to premiere on October 12 on Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV.
The reunion is special for fans as Amitabh Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit have been part of several memorable moments in Hindi cinema, although their on-screen collaborations have been relatively limited. Their appearance together on the KBC stage is expected to bring back the nostalgia of their popular film-era association.
Talking about her return to the KBC stage, Madhuri Dixit said there was a special warmth in meeting Amitabh Bachchan again. She recalled her earlier association with the show and said that the familiar camaraderie came back naturally, while this appearance also marked the beginning of an entirely new journey for her.
Madhuri is stepping into the role of a game show host for the first time with Kon Honar Crorepati. The fact that the show is in Marathi makes the project particularly special for the actress, who said she is looking forward to connecting with contestants through their stories, dreams and passion for the game.
Her appearance on Kaun Banega Crorepati 18 also marks an interesting new chapter for the franchise, with Madhuri taking on a hosting role in its Marathi adaptation. The actress will now be seen navigating the quiz-show format from the other side of the hotseat.
Meanwhile, Kaun Banega Crorepati 18, hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, continues to remain one of the most popular quiz shows on Indian television. The latest season airs Monday to Friday at 9 PM on Sony Entertainment Television and is also available for streaming on Sony LIV.
With two iconic stars coming together once again and Madhuri taking on a new role as a game-show host, the special KBC appearance is expected to be a nostalgic as well as exciting moment for television and Bollywood fans.
