As Miss Universe India 2026, India’s most prestigious beauty pageant enters its decisive phase one finalist has consistently captured the attention of industry experts and pageant enthusiasts alike Shreya Bediya. Competing among 52 finalists from across the country,Shreya has emerged as one of the strongest contenders for the coveted national crown.
With the competition progressing through multiple challenging rounds the upcoming Swimsuit Round is scheduled to take place in Bengaluru on 29 July 2026. Based on her exceptional performances so far several pageant experts believe Shreya is among the frontrunners for the title of Miss Universe India 2026.
Interestingly Shreya entered the competition through a wild card entry a route that few anticipated would produce one of the competition’s most compelling contestants. Since then she has consistently stood out through her impeccable fashion sense articulate communication,stage presence, and confident personality, earning widespread appreciation from judges and observers alike.
A native of Indore Shreya is the daughter of Govind Bediya and Neelam Bediya. She completed her schooling in Indore before participating in prestigious academic programmes conducted by NASA and Harvard University in the United States. She later pursued her undergraduate studies in Delhi, followed by another academic programme in Japan. Currently, she is studying Fashion and Luxury in Paris, reflecting her commitment to continuous learning and global exposure.
Representing a new generation of young Indian women, Shreya embodies ambition, confidence, compassion, and a strong sense of social responsibility. Beyond her accomplishments in the fashion and pageant industry, she has been actively engaged in social impact initiatives.

For the past three years,Shreya has worked closely with Leelawati Future Creation School and Niranjana School, supporting educational opportunities for underprivileged children. Believing that education is the most powerful catalyst for social transformation, she is now expanding this mission nationally through her “Beauty With a Purpose” initiative.
