On the auspicious occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, ‘Main Hi Krishna Main Hi Ram’ has emerged as a distinctive musical presentation that brings together Indian spiritual philosophy, contemporary music, and classical art. The spiritual rap presents the timeless philosophy and profound message of the Bhagavad Gita through a contemporary musical style, creating a meaningful connection with today’s generation.
Through the song, themes inspired by Lord Krishna’s philosophy, karma, self-discovery, and the purpose of life are expressed through modern musical storytelling. Released in the spirit of Janmashtami, the project represents a sincere effort to connect India’s rich spiritual and cultural heritage with contemporary audiences.
The music video follows the inspiring journey of a young Kathak artist, beginning with the traditional Ganda Bandhan ceremony, symbolising the sacred Guru-Shishya tradition. The story then progresses through dedication, discipline, perseverance, and devotion towards artistic excellence and self-discovery. It is not merely a story about dance, but a story of passion, purpose, resilience, devotion, and inner transformation.

The music for ‘Main Hi Krishna Main Hi Ram’ has been composed by Devesh Dhabalia and Rishi Sharma (Dev-Rishi), with lyrics and rap performed by Anshul Choubey. The music video is directed by Mahima Agrawal. Devesh Dhabalia, Rishi Sharma, and Anshul Choubey are independent artists whose creative work draws inspiration from Indian philosophy, spirituality, and contemporary life experiences.
