Chasing a target of 139, the Lions suffered an early setback as opener Krish Yadav departed in the very first over. However, Ankit Kumar provided quick runs, smashing 25 off just 14 balls with four boundaries and a six before falling in the fifth over. Skipper Nitish Rana (8\) and Ayush Doseja (13\) were at the crease when the skies opened up with the scoreboard reading 61/2 in 7.1 overs — enough to give the Lions victory under the DLS method.

Earlier, the New Delhi Tigers, put in to bat first, posted 138/8 in their allotted 20 overs. Their innings began on a shaky note as opener Shivam Gupta fell for a golden duck on the first ball, followed by quick dismissals of Parth Bali and Dhruv Kaushik in the powerplay. Vaibhav Rawal’s composed 64 off 50 balls, laced with five boundaries and two sixes, provided much-needed stability, while skipper Himmat Singh contributed 30 off 30 deliveries.

The Lions’ disciplined bowling attack proved decisive, with Manan Bhardwaj delivering a standout spell of 3/12 in three overs. Anirudh Chowdhary (2/26) and Shubham Dubey (2/25) struck at crucial moments to keep the Tigers in check. A late flourish from Lakshay Thareja (13\* off 9) helped the Tigers reach a modest total, which eventually proved insufficient.

New Delhi Tigers:138/8 (20 overs) – Vaibhav Rawal 64 (50), Himmat Singh 30 (30), Manan Bhardwaj 3/12
West Delhi Lions:61/2 (7.1 overs) Ankit Kumar 25 (14), Ayush Doseja 13\ (15), Parth Bali 1/5
