Who Is ScoutOP? Gaming Star Tanmay Singh Enters Bigg Boss 20

Mumbai, Indian gaming sensation Tanmay Singh, popularly known as ScoutOP, has entered the Bigg Boss 20 house, marking a major new chapter in the career of one of the country’s most recognisable gaming personalities.

For more than a decade, Scout has been at the forefront of India’s rapidly growing gaming and esports ecosystem. His journey from competitive PC gaming to becoming a popular mobile esports player, streamer and digital creator has made him an inspiration for millions of young gaming enthusiasts.

His entry into Bigg Boss 20 represents another significant crossover between India’s gaming community and mainstream entertainment.

During the Bigg Boss 20 premiere, Scout received messages from some of India’s most popular digital creators, including CarryMinati, Fukra Insaan (Abhishek Malhan) and Elvish Yadav.

CarryMinati recalled watching Scout during his early gaming days and highlighted the transformation of the gaming personality over the years, while joking about the different kind of challenge awaiting contestants after Scout’s arrival in the Bigg Boss house.

Fukra Insaan described Scout’s transition from gaming to Bigg Boss as a different kind of “real-life gaming”. He congratulated Scout and encouraged him to approach the show with responsibility, humility and warmth, while extending the support of the wider creator community and Panda Gang.

Elvish Yadav also congratulated Scout and encouraged him to make the most of the opportunity and “rock” the season.

The messages highlighted Scout’s longstanding connections within India’s gaming and digital creator community.

From Counter-Strike to Mobile Esports

Scout’s gaming journey began with PC gaming, where he competed in Counter-Strike tournaments before making the transition to mobile esports.

He entered PUBG Mobile at a time when competitive mobile gaming was still establishing itself in India. With his aggressive playing style, sharp mechanics and fearless approach, Scout quickly emerged as one of the country’s most recognisable PUBG Mobile players.

However, his contribution to Indian gaming went beyond tournament performances.

Through livestreams, gaming videos and personality-driven content, Scout helped build a strong community around Indian gaming and demonstrated to a generation of young Indians that gaming could become a professional career.

Representing India on the Global Stage

Scout’s competitive career also took him to international esports tournaments, where he competed against some of the world’s top players.

During his stint with Fnatic, he was part of the team that won PUBG Mobile All Stars India 2019.

He later joined Orange Rock, with the team finishing runners-up at the PUBG Mobile World League East in 2020, one of the most notable international results achieved by an Indian team during the PUBG Mobile era.

Scout also competed at the Peacekeeper Elite Championship in China, further strengthening India’s presence on the global mobile esports stage.

As India’s gaming landscape evolved, Scout transitioned to BGMI while simultaneously expanding his content beyond competitive gaming.

Livestreams, gaming videos, vlogs and personality-led content allowed audiences to connect with Tanmay Singh beyond his identity as an esports player.

His Dream House journey became another memorable milestone. The house tour became one of the most-watched videos on his channel and represented the growth of a creator who had built his career from gaming.

Today, Scout has more than nine million followers across platforms, making him one of the most influential personalities to emerge from India’s gaming ecosystem.

His popularity has also resulted in collaborations with major brands, including Cadbury, Swiggy, Gillette, Monster Energy, YouTube, iQOO and Samsung.

Reflecting on his journey, Tanmay “ScoutOP” Singh said that gaming had taken him to places he could never have imagined when he started.

He said his journey—from competing internationally to building a community of millions—has shown him how gaming has evolved into a genuine career for an entire generation. He also expressed hope that his story would encourage more parents to recognise gaming as a serious career when pursued with dedication and discipline.

Scout’s influence also extends through Revenant XSpark (RNTX), created through the coming together of Revenant Esports and Team XSpark.

The organisation brings together competitive esports and gaming talent, with Scout serving as its brand ambassador.

The RNTX ecosystem has also seen gaming personalities enter wider entertainment spaces. RNTX talent Vanshaj Singh has appeared in Amazon Prime Video’s The 50 and Alliance, reflecting the growing crossover between gaming, digital content and mainstream entertainment.

For Scout, Bigg Boss presents a challenge unlike any esports tournament.

Instead of competing with a team on a virtual battlefield, he will now have to navigate relationships, emotions, personalities and strategy inside the Bigg Boss house.

For years, audiences have known him as ScoutOP—the gamer, streamer and esports personality. Bigg Boss will now give viewers an opportunity to see Tanmay Singh beyond the gaming screen.

His entry also marks another important moment for India’s gaming industry, showing how personalities who first built their audiences through gaming are increasingly finding space in mainstream entertainment.

With the gaming community watching closely, Scout now faces his biggest non-gaming challenge yet: winning the game of Bigg Boss.

Bigg Boss 20, hosted by Salman Khan, premiered on September 6, 2026. The show is streaming on JioHotstar at 9 PM and airing on Colors TV at 10:30 PM.
